Working Warehouse Manager
On Target Earnings
£35,000
I run Edinburgh's most
successful independent furniture store and I am looking
for a fun hard working warehouse manager.
But I am not just looking
for anyone!
We have a passion for
customer care and the successful applicant must share
this, through their ability to manage a small team of
driver’s porters and administrative assistants.
The goods are heavy and can
be awkward to deliver and sometimes the clients can be
very demanding, this can all lead to a high pressure
environment! However there is always an answer but it
takes someone that can stay cool to achieve this under
pressure.
We have two 7.5 tonne
trucks and it would certainly be desirable if you had
your licence. You must also be physically fit as it is
most definitely a hands on job.
The warehouse is a purpose
built unit with high racking and stock pickers, that is
located just behind Costco and Ikea, off the City by
pass, ideally the successful applicant will live locally
or at least within a 25 mile radius.
The job and the company are
very secure with over 75 years trading. This may be an
extremely secure environment but never boring. We are
massively target driven and any new member of the team
will be expected to push to hit monthly delivery targets
as well. Earning the team and the new Manager generous
bonus's.
As a small family business
we will work hard and play hard as well, with many fun
night's out, bbq's, football, mountain biking, day trip
to Amsterdam etc, etc...
What’s more being a small
business you also have hands on input to and from the
Directors on a daily basis, you are more than just a
number your ideas and thoughts will be encouraged, you
